As a teenager, my main hobby was composition and I pursued it at school and university, completing grade 8 music theory and a BMus (hons). It was a rewarding experience when one of my percussion ensemble compositions was performed in a concert at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Although my focus has shifted towards other musical endeavors, such as contributing to songwriting in my band, Hazard Pilots, my early experiences in composition continue to shape my artistic journey.
